Han Solo is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He appears in the Star Wars movies: A New Hope,The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and the Star Wars Holiday Special.
"The Star Wars"[]
Han Solo comes into the story in Mos Eisley Cantina on the planet Tatooine. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker hire him to pilot them to Alderaan. When Darth Vader destroys Alderaan and the Death Star pulls Han's ship into it's tractor beam, Han helps Luke and Obi-Wan save Princess Leia from the Death Star. After Leia's rescue he leaves to go pay off Jabba the Hutt, to whom he owed a lot of money. He returns to help Luke during the battle against the Death Star and buys Luke time to blow it up.
The Empire Strikes Back[]
Han Solo is helping the Rebel forces on the ice planet Hoth. However, he still has not paid off Jabba the Hutt and must do so, he attempts to leave but Darth Vader sends forces to Hoth where a battle erupts. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and C-3PO get off the planet aboard Han's ship "The Millenium Falcon". Meanwhile, Darth Vader plans to lure Luke Skywalker to himself and sends Bounty Hunters to find Han and use him as bait. Han goes to "Cloud City" where he is re-united with his "friend" Lando Calrissian, who has been bought out by Darth Vader. Lando betrays Han to Darth Vader, who has him frozen in carbonite and given to Boba Fett to take to Jabba.
